CONGRATULATIONS to Christy G! Please respond to the email I sent you for your prize!
It’s no big secret that I am a big advocate of creating and fulfilling a Bucket List. Most people who create a bucket list are wanting to experience or achieve something out of the ordinary in their lifetime; such as sky diving or riding in a hot air balloon, or even something as simple as going fishing or getting a massage.
One of the best sites I have come across that is actually geared to help you or someone special accomplish some of those goals is Xperience Days! From flying lessons, white water rafting and NASCAR rides to art classes, food and winery tours, they have something for everyone.
All you have to do is head on over to Xperiencedays.com and enter your location and see what experience they have available in your area! Once you find an experience that strikes your fancy, place your order and choose your shipping method (I prefer the instant email gift certificates). The best part is that the gift certificates you purchase from Xperience Days NEVER…I repeat…NEVER expire and can be redeemed at any time!
One lucky person is going to win a $100 Gift Certificate towards a gift of their choice on Xperience Days! Just use Rafflecopter below! Good luck!
Restrictions: U.S. residents only.
Giveaway starts Monday, August 26, 2013 and ends Monday, September 16, 2013.
Disclosure: I wasn’t sent anything. Please enjoy!
Summer is officially over for my kids this year as they returned to school last week. We now only have two kids in public school; my son, a sophomore and my daughter, a seventh grader.
This summer seems to have flown by, more so this year than in any other. Of course, this summer was also the most unusual summer we’ve ever had.I’m praying my kids have a great year, that it will be better than last year.
I’m also praying I don’t wind up stuffing a pair of my son’s stinky socks in my daughter’s mouth and duck taping her to the wall.
I’m not kidding.
She started the EXCLAMATION POINT (as my husband calls it) last month for the first time. She’s not been her normal sweet self. She thinks her big brother, Tyler, jinxed her, because right after he told her that “it is going to be funny when you start your period, Faith. You will probably freak out, and you know your life will be over right? It’s all down hill after that” it happens.
Maybe he did jinx her.
Late that night, she slowly walks out of the bathroom in the hotel, with a wide eyed look and says, “Mom…I think I started my period.”
Sure enough. It called for a late night trip to Wal-Mart, during which, I made a tearful call to my mom because my baby is growing up. I was really hoping I’d have at least another year before this happened.
The next day, she wanted to go swimming as it was her last day in Florida.
“Oh my God, I have to put that WHERE?! Tyler was right, my life is OVER!”
She decided to forgo the swimming. Here begins the life of a teenage drama queen.
But I digress….I pray my sweet children (Noooo, they are NOT really pod persons from the planet Mars!) have a wonderful year at school, that they become leaders (for GOOD) and not followers. Please be good, children. Please.
