I tried to tell the the poor fella…I said, “Mr. Bird, that snake is not your friend! Fly away!”

Did he listen? Noooo….and this is what happened:

Yup, right outside of our campsite! Pretty nifty picture, if I do say so myself…and I do (yes, I took it…isn’t it awesome?). My nephew saw it first and I was quick to grab my camera for some amateur wildlife shots. I must admit…I was more interested in taking pictures than shooing the bird away from the snake. At least I made a feeble attempt, right? I’ve been asked why I allowed the big bad, slimy, nasty snake to eat poor widdle cute birdie…and um….it’s the Circle of Life, people! Ever watch the  Lion King? Mufasa was a pretty smart king!!  Nature is not always unicorns and butterflies!
