Do you see anything different? Why yes, yes I do have a new layout. It may change again soon, because I really really want a custom design. Right now, I’ll go with free. I’m thinking I need to learn how to do this design stuff myself because wowzers! Some designers are expeeeeeenssssiiiive! It can’t be THAT hard….can it? Since it took me about 3-4 hours just to redo my blog using a pre-made freebie, I can only imagine how time consuming the REAL stuff is. Especially when you have zero experience, like me. Maybe I’ll win the lottery soon.
Oh yeah, I started Cycle 2 yesterday! Since I cheated the ENTIRE weekend (I know…I’m so bad!! Bonefish Grill was yummy!), I have started out with Cycle 1 meals. Which means today, I can have something other than chicken and fish! So excited! Ok, so during Cycle 2, you are adding in food such as lean meats, potatoes, corn, shrimp, etc. Not much, but even a little bit is better than none! And on this cycle, you are swapping out days. Meaning, every other day, you are eating Cycle 1 foods. I can handle that! Still no luck in getting a treadmill, but I have several emails/texts going…dickering back and forth with a few different people. I suspect I will have a new (to me) treadmill sitting in my bedroom by the weekend. Yippee!
Evidently, you start peeing so much you have dreams of peeing when you get old. Before going to bed last night, Rick decided to tell me about his most recent dream. Right before going to the airport (I’ve no idea where we were going), Rick drank a couple pots of coffee and neglected to go to the bathroom before leaving. At the airport, the urge to pee hit him pretty hard; however, there were no bathrooms to be found. He wound up having to pee in some poor fellow’s suitcase. “I woke up and had to pee like a race horse”.
I must admit, when he told me of this dream, I laughed pretty hard. It wasn’t a week ago that he told me that while he was at work, he had to pee so bad his chest started hurting. “I thought I was gonna have a heart attack and pee on myself” he told me. “I miss being young. I could sleep through the night without having to get up at least once to go pee”.
In closing…wait, I have another quote for you. He just passed me and said “I’m off to see the Wizzer”.
“The Wizard? You going to Oz?”, I asked. He said, “No, the Wiz-ZER..gotta go wiz!”
That man….bless his heart.
YAHOOOOO! I’ve so been looking forward to today! This is the last day on Cycle 1 of the diet!! Ok, so I’m REALLY looking forward to tomorrow! In 17 days, I’ve lost 12 pounds. The past several days have been slow going. Know what that means? I can no longer put off exercising (insert big fat heavy sigh here!). That means I have to go ahead and buy a treadmill. It should be easy right? I mean, it’s just walking and I do that all the time. Right? RIGHT?!?! Right. I can do this. I WILL do this.
But first….my cheat days (and I PROMISE I won’t go overboard). =)
Well, here it is, 14 days into the diet….and I have lost 11 pounds so far! Go me, go me! It’s not been easy. I’ve had to look high and low for different chicken recipes because it was getting pretty boring. I made a delicious chicken Parmesan last night, using a “safe” recipe. So, you can really find some great, yummy recipes and still be eating healthy. I still haven’t started exercising yet. I know, I’m bad. Seriously, I’m going to buy a treadmill this week and I will be on that thing daily. I’m sooooooooo looking forward to it. Yes, that is sarcasm. But, if I don’t start exercising by the time Cycle 2 starts, then I may not lose as much weight as I could. The weight loss is supposed to slow down during cycles 2-4.
Oh, and I haven’t cheated at all so far! I must confess I have a cheat day set aside for Friday; after Cycle 1 ends and before I start Cycle 2. Ok, I have 2 cheat days set aside. Friday and Saturday, but it’s for a totally good cause! It’s not every day that your husband turns 44!! Red Lobster, here I….er….we….come! I promise I won’t cheat much. Seriously. I won’t stuff my face with fatty sugary foods both days, all day. Promise.
